Beach Hillel offers Israel programming in three fields (3-E’s): Engagement, Education and Experience:

Beach Hillel is excited to have an Israel Fellow, someone who has come all the way from Israel to bring Israel programming to campus. The Israel Fellow works for Beach Hillel as part of a cooperative effort of the Jewish Agency for Israel and Hillel International. You are invited to meet our Israel Fellow, Maya, and ask her anything about Israel. Maya is the person you want to contact if you wish to learn about Israel, attend Israel-based programs, and/or get involved in the pro-Israel community on campus.

Curious to learn about Israel? We offer learning sessions about the history, geography, politics, and culture of Israel, as well as its role as the Jewish homeland. One of our mega-events of the year is Israel Week, a week-long celebration of the Jewish State on-campus every spring.

There is no better way to learn about Israel than to travel to Israel. Beach Hillel takes eligible students from Long Beach to Israel on Taglit-Birthright Israel summer trips. Taglit-Birthright Israel is a 10-day FREE trip to Israel to 18-26 years old Jewish students.  Maya would be happy to introduce you to different opportunities in Israel such as internships, study abroad, and volunteering programs, as well as leadership opportunities, such as internships for pro-Israel organizations in the US, and attendance to conferences across the nation.
