Shir Horovitz
Israel Fellow, Long Beach Hillel

Shir grew up in Petach-Tikwa. She served as a commander in the Israel Defense Force and recently graduated from university with a degree in Leadership and Human Resources.

Though she has traveled to eight different countries, this is her first time in America and she is grateful for the chance to begin a new chapter of her life in Long Beach. Bri Rubin
Springboard Innovation Fellow, Long Beach Hillel

Bri Rubin was born in Texas and grew up primarily in Massachusetts. She studied Psychological Sciences and Studio Art at the University of Vermont and is also a certified yoga teacher. As a college student, she spent three summers traveling around the state of Vermont, generally in the woods on a bicycle, working as a canvasser for an environmental nonprofit. After graduation, Bri traveled to Latin America where she painted murals at hostels and taught yoga at wellness retreats and intentional communities.

Bri loves holistic wellness and honored to be in a position where she can support students as they journey through their college years. She is beyond grateful for the opportunity to deepen her connection to Judaism, expanding her knowledge and understanding of what it means to be Jewish while inspiring students to do the same.
