As part of Beach Hillel’s monthly learning opportunities, students participated in a Matzah Pizza Lunch-N-Learn yesterday. For the lunch portion of the event, students made their own matzah pizza’s. For many students, it was their first time trying the Passover snack! Most students even went back for seconds and thirds.

For the learning portion of the event, Rabbi Drew led a discussion on modern day slavery in America and abroad. It is a very important issue that is usually overlooked. Rabbi Drew related the topic to the story of Passover and had some interesting insight for students. After the discussion was over students enjoyed hanging out with their friends, eating and making matzah pizza’s and taking a break between classes.
